The difference between native IP and residential IP

The city shown for a route is only the surface-level detail. Streaming platforms also read the provider, usage type and regional labels in IP databases. Understanding exit characteristics helps explain why two routes in the same region can return different results.

Native IP: clearer regional classification

A native IP usually refers to an exit address that major databases register in the target region with consistent regional attribution. It can help when a catalog appears to belong to another region or the platform home page has not refreshed. Native does not mean residential, nor does it guarantee recognition by every platform; heavily shared addresses may still be classified separately.
